TFHH Founding Author
Lamont Walker is a writer and educator whose fiction descends from the storytelling tradition of hip-hop. His debut collection, Tales From Hip-Hop Vol. 1: Where the Music Ends and the Story Begins, established the descent principle at the heart of the TFHH imprint.
He has spent nearly twenty years in the classroom, teaching ELA and helping scholars from elementary to secondary and across every background better understand literature, writing, and the power of their own voices. He has been writing for most of that time. Vol. 1 is the first work he chose to make public.
Based in West Michigan, where the classroom, the record shop, and the bookshelf all live in walking distance of each other.
